Henra Chennault, Pastor of Young Adults and Community Relations: Young adults are a vital part of our faith community as well as the city of Atlanta. Henra’s love for people and helping them connect to the work of God is a natural fit for young adult ministry, reaching out and establishing partnerships with area colleges as well as young professionals. Henra is also the contact and liaison to our community partners such as Wilderness Works, the Stewart Center, Nicholas House and others. Jen Lyon, Pastor of Congregational Leadership: Jen functions as staff facilitator in the Pastoral Team and is the primary point of contact for the church for denominational, organizational and business purposes. Jen leads the staff and congregation in visioning and ministry planning as well as overseeing all administrative tasks, including revising and establishing organizational policies,overseeing budget development, staff development and supervising day-to-day congregational needs. Lanta Carroll, Pastor of Families and Congregational Care: Lanta ministers to children and their families by providing quality faith development and parenting resources. Lanta has the ability to help even the youngest learn to follow the example of Christ in love and service. Lanta also oversees the Youth Ministry Intern and helps in the transition between the children and youth departments. As a licensed therapist, Lanta supports and nurtures the Park Ave family by providing pastoral care and referrals for mental health needs to members of the congregation as needed. Rebecca Weems, Pastor of Educational Advocacy and Administration: Helping kids develop spiritually, academically, and emotionally into who God has uniquely made them to be is Rebecca’s calling. She does this by investing in our children not just on Sundays, but each week through directing the Homework Hot Spot after school program and during the summer by leading our Summer Literacy Camp. Rebecca also helps with administrative needs of the church. Rebecca holds a Masters of Divinity from McAfee School of Theology at Mercer University. Trey Lyon, Pastor of Communication and Engagement: Trey also works with staff and church leadership to articulate the theological, social and spiritual distinctives of Park Ave, as well as develop consistent branding across all ministries. Trey finds new and creative ways for Park Ave to engage the community. Trey is also the primary contact and developer of policies for building use and maintenance, as well as a community voice on advocacy and social justice issues. Darci Jaret, Artist in Residence: By creating and leading Art in the Image at Park Ave, Darci brings her artistic gifts and talents to our worship and faith development programs. In addition to enhancing our worship with participatory art pieces and facilitating a Community Group focused on creativity , Darci leads workshops all over on art as spiritual formation. A gifted photographer, activist, workshop leader and mixed media artist, Darci finds beauty and meaning in everything from collage to making liturgical banners.
